Ed Simon

Ed Simon has been an ardent advocate and implementor of XML since 1997, and of SGML before that. He is a co-author of the W3C/IETF XML Signature specification and is also contributing to the W3C XML Encryption effort. Before serving as Entrust's XML Security Architect, he explored new online information technologies at IBM and developed biomedical research software at the University of Calgary's Faculty of Medicine. Ed holds Master of Engineering degree from the University of Alberta. Currently, Ed offers training and consulting services in the area of XML Security.
